Dental Care That's Explained

X-rays, scans and close-up camera pictures go up on a screen you can see, and your dentist says what each tool is for before it is used. Dentistry for adults and families in Fort Wayne.

Inside the room

Every tool in the room, explained

Before an X-ray, a scan or a camera goes near your mouth, your dentist tells you what it is for and what it will show. Then the picture goes on the screen and you look at it together. If you would rather skip a step, say so, and we will tell you what that would mean.

  • Digital X-rays

On the screen as soon as they are taken, taken only when your dentist decides they will help.

  • A small camera

A pen-sized camera shows a single tooth in close-up on the monitor.

  • Digital scans

For some treatments a scanner takes the place of a tray of putty. Your dentist says which.

  • Your pace

Ask for numbing, a break or a different option at any point.

What to expect in your chair

A modern tool helps only if you know what it is doing. This is how we handle that.

  • Look together

The X-ray or scan goes on the screen before anyone talks about treatment.

  • Ask anything

Every tool has a name and a purpose, and you can ask about any of them.

  • Your decision

We set out your options, including waiting, and you choose.

Our Services

What we do, room by room

Patient Stories

In patients’ words

What patients say about their visits.

“I asked what the small camera was for and got a real answer. Then I saw my own molar on the monitor, which I had never seen before.”

Esmeralda R.New patient

“My crown was made from a scan and not a tray of putty. The dentist showed me how the scanner works first, and said how many visits to plan for.”

Takeshi O.Crown

“The front desk looked up my plan before I came in and handed me the estimate on paper. We went through both at the counter.”

Dinesh T.Patient

“Nobody hurried me. I wanted to think about the options at home, and they said that was fine and gave me the plan to take along.”

Doreen C.Patient

“My son asked a hundred questions about the X-ray machine and the dentist answered every one. He sat down in the chair ready.”
